thread Tools is managed by thread, Alaska’s Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) organization. thread’s mission is to advance the quality of early education and child development by empowering parents, educating child care professionals, and collaborating with local communities.

thread’s statewide network of professionals provide training to Alaska’s early childhood professionals and support early childhood education programs with technical assistance, consultation, grant and funding opportunities, and business resources.

Learn & Grow

thread houses and manages Learn & Grow, Alaska’s Quality Recognition & Improvement System (QRIS) for early childhood education programs. Learn & Grow establishes standards of quality and provides supports to programs to achieve those standards. As one of those supports, programs participating in Learn & Grow have free access to thread Tools.
